Everyone, from a barista to an astronaut, needs to learn how to do their job. As an instructional designer, I define learning objectives and then design compelling activities to meet them. As a trainer, I deliver training content with energy and humour and improvise new activities as needed to ensure the training goals are met.

I’m talented at the art/science of converting complex subjects into clear and concise documentation, whether it’s a product manual or a knowledge base article.

I’m also a native-English copy editor who has an incurable obsession with spelling and grammar. I have a particular talent for reducing word count while preserving (or, more often, improving) writing quality.

Running parallel to my technical career is my performance career. I’ve taught and performed improv comedy around the world, and I’ve hosted everything from online corporate videos to my monthly show at Boom Chicago. I’m also a talented voice actor! Hire me to read your books.
